Stronger Together: Parents as Partners in Learning

At Our Lady Help of Christians, we know that parents are a child’s first and most influential educators. Your involvement is key to unlocking your child’s potential, both in the classroom and beyond.

We value active parent engagement in learning, school events and community initiatives, creating a true partnership that strengthens student growth, confidence and success. Together, we celebrate achievements, support challenges and build a nurturing school community where every child thrives.
School Advisory Board
The School Advisory Council (SAC) at Our Lady Help of Christians brings together parents, staff and our Parish leaders — including Fr. Dr Brendan Reed STD and Fr. Tien Tran, to guide and support our school community.
Meeting each term, the SAC plays a vital role in strengthening our Catholic ethos, promoting faith formation and supporting the Principal in key decisions.
Their work includes:
-
Championing the school’s vision, mission and Catholic culture
-
Supporting faith formation and development for students and the community
-
Advising on enrolments, school improvement plans and trends
-
Overseeing capital planning, maintenance and policy implementation
-
Sharing information and providing guidance on school and parish matters, including the Annual Report
Through the SAC, parents and staff actively contribute to shaping the life and direction of our school, ensuring every child thrives in a supportive, values-driven community.

Parent Association
The Parent Association at Our Lady Help of Christians is made up of dedicated parents from across all year levels who volunteer their time and skills to support our school community. Their goal is to strengthen connections, foster community spirit, and enhance learning opportunities for all students.

-
Children’s Disco

-
Providing pastoral support to families in need.
-
Meeting with the Principal when required.
-
Acting as a contact for general queries or suggestions.
All Parent Reps are required to hold a current Working With Children Check and sign the Child Safety Code of Conduct, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students.
