Our Foundation to 6 Religious Education program aims to help students develop a loving relationship with God through a focus on prayer, Scripture, the Church’s Tradition, Liturgy and the Sacraments.
It also aims to foster an awareness of self, others, the world and the faith community.
The program is sequential and appropriate to the developmental stage of the student.
Another major objective of our RE program is to develop the children’s knowledge about our religion and skills relevant to practising our faith.
This is undertaken through deliberate teaching and also allowing students to participate actively in liturgies and Church celebrations.
While specific R.E. Lessons are given, the main thrust of our R.E. program is what is permeated in whatever we attempt to do as a Christian, Catholic School. This is evidenced in the values we espouse, the behaviour we model to the students and by what we expect in their behaviour.
